Bible Verses about 'As'
- I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches. - Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
its jealousy as enduring as the grave.
Love flashes like fire,
the brightest kind of flame. - He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west. - For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath! - “As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning.”
- “Come now, let’s settle this,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.” - You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
- Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
- When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!
- And forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us. - Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- For you, a thousand years are as a passing day,
as brief as a few night hours. - A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God. - But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
- We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
- I love the Lord because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath! - For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
- As a face is reflected in water,
so the heart reflects the real person. - Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
- Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
- Let my teaching fall on you like rain;
let my speech settle like dew.
Let my words fall like rain on tender grass,
like gentle showers on young plants. - For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,
and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” - Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
- Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
- For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
- Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
- For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
- So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
- So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
- As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
- For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
- For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
- As iron sharpens iron,
so a friend sharpens a friend. - This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
- Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
- No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
- As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should! - So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
- Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
- For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?
- But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
- Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer. - So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
- The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
- Do what is good and run from evil
so that you may live!
Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper,
just as you have claimed.
