- Set me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal upon your arm.

Like rain upon the sprouts,
and like showers upon the grass. - And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
- Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - As for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
- Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.

the anointing you received from him
remains in you,

This same anointing
teaches you everything
and is true and not false,
so abide in him just as he taught you. - Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he departed from them and was taken up to heaven.
- Truly, you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you surround them with your goodwill as with a shield. - For it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord,
every knee shall bow before me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.” - May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
and listened to my cry for mercy,
because he has inclined his ear to me
on the day when I called out to him. - As iron sharpens iron,
so a man sharpens the wits of his neighbor. - Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- Seek good and not evil,
so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
as you claim he is. - For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
- The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’
