- For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
- Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
- So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
- Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
- For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
- So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
- Let my teaching fall on you like rain;
let my speech settle like dew.
Let my words fall like rain on tender grass,
like gentle showers on young plants. - As iron sharpens iron,
so a friend sharpens a friend. - This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
- For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
- Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
- For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
- May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
- But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
- As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should! - As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
- Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer. - Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
- For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
- So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
- The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
- Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?
- Do what is good and run from evil
so that you may live!
Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper,
just as you have claimed.
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.Next verse!With image
