- I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.”
- So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
- I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
- A fool's lips bring strife,
and a fool's mouth invites a flogging. - If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
- Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
- Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
which means, “God is with us.” For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.Next verse! With image
