Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. | Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. |
And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. | I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. |

The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. | The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. |

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. |

You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. | Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it.
