| For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. | Because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. |

| But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. | For the customs of the peoples are false: a tree from the forest is cut down, and worked with an ax by the hands of an artisan; people deck it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, nor is it in them to do good. |
| All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. |
| Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world.
