You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble.You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder.
You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
