- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
- Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.Next verse!With image
