Comes (3/4)

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee.
For the Lord himself is the one who bestows wisdom; from his mouth come forth knowledge and understanding. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
For much wisdom can result in much sorrow, and those who increase their knowledge also increase their grief. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice.A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
But who am I, and what are your people, that we should be able to do this? All things belong to you, and everything that we have given you is from your hand. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who is coming after me is more powerful than I am. I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but those who counsel peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren.Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
For since death came into the world through a man, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man.For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
The hope of the righteous brings them joy, but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
Some friends can lead us to ruin, but a true friend is closer than a brother.A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness clothing you, and with your feet shod in zeal to proclaim the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold in your hand the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God.Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Behold, he is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the peoples of the earth will mourn him. So shall it be. Amen.Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength.Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, about whose coming you have been told, and that it is already in the world.Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
