- When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom. - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. - Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. - And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
- But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
