- When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom. - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
- For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. - And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
- Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. - But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. - Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.Next verse!With image
