From where does my help come?

for it does not cease to bear fruit. - So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
- And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Salvation belongs to the Lord! - Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is! - Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy. - From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
- For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
- A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
- Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
- The wise of heart will receive commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
