Do (3/4)

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! They cannot speak, and they need to be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. For the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.
And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.
Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
