| When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable, But one who restrains his lips is wise. | In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. |
| What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it! | What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |

| You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. | A wicked person earns deceptive wages, But one who sows righteousness gets a true reward. | The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. |
| For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
