The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down.

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.”
