Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. | Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. |
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. | For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. |

See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people. | See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. |
This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. | This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. |
Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law. | Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. |
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much. | Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. |
Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. | Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. |
Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent over double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God. But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?” And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him. | Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. |
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. | And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” |
For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another. | For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. |
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor. | Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. |
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus. | Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus. |
Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. | Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. |
We love, because He first loved us. | We love Him because He first loved us. |
All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. | All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. |
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. | A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. |
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. | With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. |
Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. | Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. |
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you. | And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you. |
The Lord will send His goodness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life. | The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life. |
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble. | Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. |
Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. | Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. |
There is a way which seems right to a person, But its end is the way of death. | There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. |
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah | Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah |
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. | Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. |
