Give us today the food we need. | Give us this day our daily bread. |
I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? | My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? |
|
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. | Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. |
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. |
For the word of God will never fail. | For nothing will be impossible with God. |
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. | Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. |
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. | Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You. |
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. | For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. |
Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. | Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us, Just as we have waited for You. |
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. | I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly. |
We love each other because he loved us first. | We love, because He first loved us. |
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. | Come, let’s worship and bow down, Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker. |
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? | For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? |
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. | For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. |
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. | But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. |
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. | The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. |
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? | For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? |
And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day. | So the Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our own good always and for our survival, as it is today. |
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. |
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. | And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. |
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. | And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. |
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. | As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, God. |
And forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. | And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. |
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. | Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. |
