Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!Let mutual love continue.
