| So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. | So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. | For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” | For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. | The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. | The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
