Gift of life (2/4)

The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life.Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life.
One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Yahweh God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—” Therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken. The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit. The tongue has the power over life and death; those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life. The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life.
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats.
For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls. The sea gave up all the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them. The dead were judged according to their deeds.
Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
Knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ. For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come. While physical training has some value, the benefits of godliness are unlimited, since it holds out promise not only for this life but also for the life to come.
Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever.Only goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends.
They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. They will never again experience hunger or thirst, nor will the sun or any scorching heat cause them discomfort. For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid?

Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yes, these may forget,
yet I will not forget you!
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.
