Giving to the needy (2/4)

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.
To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.To do righteousness and justice Is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice.
But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth.Praise the Lord in song, for He has done glorious things; Let this be known throughout the earth.
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”

And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the Lord is against evildoers.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh.
The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, But ruin to the workers of injustice.

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”Jesus said to him, “If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
