However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
