- Whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
- Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. - Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
equity and every good path. - Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
- A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - See how good and how pleasant it is
for brothers to live together in unity! - Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
- Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace,
who brings good news,
who proclaims salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing,
and obtains favor of Yahweh. - Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger,
but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. - Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and doesn’t sin.
- Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- For,
“He who would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - For he satisfies the longing soul.
He fills the hungry soul with good. - Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
