The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person.As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
“Don’t you understand either?” he asked. “Can’t you see that the food you put into your body cannot defile you? Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
And I know it is important to love him with all my heart and all my understanding and all my strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other.Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless.The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
