If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. | If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? |
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. | This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. |

Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ | And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. |
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside. | But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? | God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? |
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. | Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. |
Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. | Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. |
When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed. | And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing. |
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. | He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. |
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. | Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. |
The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool. | He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. |
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. | For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. |
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! | Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. | Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. |
And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. | And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. |
This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. | This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. |
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” | Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. |
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ.
