| If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. | Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. |
| But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” | And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. | But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. |
| His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. | And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. | And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. |
| If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed. | And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. |
| The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. | And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. |
| The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. | This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. |
| Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
| Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ | This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. |
