- For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,

I know that full well. - Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.

things planned long ago. - Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:
If you find it, there is a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off. - Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
- If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.

to obey your commands. - However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him. - John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
- No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
- Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord. - And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
- If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
- Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
- The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. - Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Next verse!With image
