- For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined. - I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand. - Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

His understanding is unsearchable. - O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You,
And my soul, which You have redeemed. - For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed. - O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. - And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
- Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
- Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life. - But I will sing of Your power;
Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense
And refuge in the day of my trouble. - But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
- O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. - So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul;
If you have found it, there is a prospect,
And your hope will not be cut off. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
