| I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy. | For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. | For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will glorify the lowly with salvation. |
| Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure. | Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. |
