- God is not a man, that He would lie,
Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - But our God is in the heavens;
He does whatever He pleases. - Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near. - The Lord makes poor and rich;
He humbles, He also exalts. - And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who watches over you will not slumber. - The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
- He gives strength to the weary,
And to the one who lacks might He increases power. - And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
- Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. - But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.”
- For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And He has filled the hungry soul with what is good. - If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
- So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.
- The Lord is good and upright;
Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in justice,
And He teaches the humble His way. - Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
- It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him. - Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it.
- The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will rejoice over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. - He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
- He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
- And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
- When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army, nor be assigned any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall make his wife whom he has taken happy.

He leads me beside quiet waters. - The Almighty—we cannot find Him;

And binds up their wounds. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken. - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
- I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever.
- You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
- Having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.
- The Lord watches over strangers;
He supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He thwarts the way of the wicked. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I will not be greatly shaken. - Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
- Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
- And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.
- So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
