- God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? - Our God is in the heavens,
and he does as he wishes. - Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near. - Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.
- Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
- He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber. - We love each other because he loved us first.
- The Lord makes some poor and others rich;
he brings some down and lifts others up. - He proclaimed his covenant—the Ten Commandments—which he commanded you to keep, and which he wrote on two stone tablets.
- He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
- And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.
- I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears. - He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. - Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
- Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. - When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
- He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light. - May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
- So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - But the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.”
- For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. - He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless. - For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is!May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us. When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.Next verse!With image
