- Christ is also the head of the church,
which is his body.
He is the beginning,
supreme over all who rise from the dead.
So he is first in everything. - The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;

He leads the humble in doing right,
teaching them his way. - A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.
- Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken. - Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

He cares for the orphans and widows,
but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. - He sent out his word and healed them,
snatching them from the door of death. - Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
- But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed. - Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it. - Who is the King of glory?
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
