- God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
- But our God is in the heavens:
he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. - Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near. - And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
- And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
- If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
- He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
- The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love,
he will joy over thee with singing. - Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
- When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.
- Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
- When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- For he satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. - I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
- And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds. - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
- And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
- And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
- Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise:
and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Next verse!With image
