Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart.Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.

While Peter was kept in prison, the church prayed fervently to God for him.So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.

Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out; for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
