If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. | If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. |

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? | How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? |
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. | He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.” |
