  • Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

    Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

  • Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
  • Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
  • Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  • This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.
  • There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  • When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
  • Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth.
  • Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
  • That as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.
