John 3:16 (3/4)

Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.
You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.
If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you.
But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
