You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am. | Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. |
If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. | If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. |

Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. |
Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. |
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. | A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. |
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. | By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. |
Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. | Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. |
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. | In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. |
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. |
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him. | If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. |
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” | Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. |
Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. |
Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
If you love me, keep my commandments. | If ye love me, keep my commandments. |
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever. | And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. |
I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. | I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. |
One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” | Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. |
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. | But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. |
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. |
I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. | I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. |
You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. | Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. |
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. | I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. |
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. | If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. |
In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. |
