- Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.
- The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
- My salvation and my honor is with God.
The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.
- Therefore be merciful,
even as your Father is also merciful. - Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- Before destruction the heart of man is proud,
but before honor is humility. - Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
- A good name is more desirable than great riches,
and loving favor is better than silver and gold. - He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.
I will not be shaken. - Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.
- But our God is in the heavens.
He does whatever he pleases. - He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.
- Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
- He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. - It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. - Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
- There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
