| For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. | For I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. |
| And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. | And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. |

| We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters. | This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. |

| For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens. | For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. |

| You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? | Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. | Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. |
