Bible Verses about 'Last days'

But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
Who has done such mighty deeds, summoning each new generation from the beginning of time? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone am he.Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; And with the last I am He.’
Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”
In those days when you pray, I will listen.Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.
Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.”For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.”
Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.
Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise my God to my last breath!I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
