Let’s (3/4)

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.” When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!
