Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
