- For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the Lord is against evildoers. - Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
- Even if the fig tree does not blossom,
And there is no fruit on the vines,
If the yield of the olive fails,
And the fields produce no food,
Even if the flock disappears from the fold,
And there are no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I will triumph in the Lord,
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. - And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
In the gale and the storm is His way,
And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe. - The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
- For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
- But You, Lord, are a shield around me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head. - But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
- Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who watches over the souls of His godly ones;
He saves them from the hand of the wicked. - The afflictions of the righteous are many,
But the Lord rescues him from them all. - The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
- But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved.
- The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; for that reason also the holy Child will be called the Son of God.”
- Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting,
“Hosanna to the Son of David;
Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest!” - He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears are toward their cry for help. - Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
- One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. - Unless the Lord builds a house,
They who build it labor in vain;
Unless the Lord guards a city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. - Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.”
