Bible Verses about 'Loveth'
- Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but the one who hates correction is stupid. - In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.
- Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. - One who is covetous will never be satisfied with money,
nor will the lover of wealth be content with gain.
This too is vanity. - A true friend is one at all times,
and a brother is born to render help in time of need. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - This is the commandment
we have received from him:
whoever loves God
must also love his brother. - Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul;
one who cherishes understanding will prosper. - Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.
- Beloved,
let us love one another,
because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - And opens the eyes of those who cannot see.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - For the Lord loves the just,
and he will not forsake his faithful ones.
Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed,
and the children of the wicked will be cut off. - Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline
or refuse to accept his rebuke.
For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves,
just as a father chastises a beloved son. - Therefore, we love because he first loved us.
- This is what love is:
not that we have loved God,
but that he loved us
and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
- However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
- I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” - Adulterers! Do you not know that love of the world results in enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her in order to sanctify her by cleansing her with water and the word.
- Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
- If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - Above all, maintain the fervor of your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
- In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love. - And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
- Father, allow those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
because you loved me
before the foundation of the world. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - It was not their own swords that won them the land,
nor did their own arms make them victorious;
rather, it was your right hand and your arm
and the light of your face,
because you loved them. - May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love overlooks all offenses. - Love is patient;
love is charitable.
Love is not envious;
it does not have an inflated opinion of itself;
it is not filled with its own importance.
Love is never rude;
it does not seek its own advantage.
It is not prone to anger;
neither does it brood over setbacks. - May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.
- Over all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
- The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- You are all-beautiful, my love,
without the slightest blemish. - No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends.
