At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul. | Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. |
The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases. | It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. |
|
But I will sing of your strength; when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness. For you have been my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. | But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. |
Rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn back to the Lord, your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and always prepared to relent from punishing. | And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. |
Although the mountains may be shaken and the hills may totter, my steadfast love will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will never be shaken, says the Lord who has compassion on you. | For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. |
What god can compare with you, the God who takes away guilt and forgives the transgressions of the remnant of your people? You will not allow your anger to fester forever, for your delight is in bestowing mercy. | Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. |
Keep in mind, therefore, that the Lord, your God, is God. He is a faithful God who keeps his covenant of mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and observe his commandments. | Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. |
Have mercy on me, O God, in accord with your kindness; in your abundant compassion wipe away my offenses. Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. | Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. |
But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments. | But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. |
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but the one who hates correction is stupid. | Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish. |
Therefore, we love because he first loved us. | We love him, because he first loved us. |
This is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. | Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. |
Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself. | So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. |
This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. | This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. |
Beloved, since God loved us so much, we should love one another. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us. | Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. |
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |
This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. | And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you should also love one another. | A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. |
Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul; one who cherishes understanding will prosper. | He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. |
However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband. | Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. |
Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law. | Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. |
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God. | And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. |
And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. | The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. |
