| If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |

| The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in kindness. | The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy. |
| Entrust your cares to the Lord, and he will uphold you; he will never allow the righteous to waver. | Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. |
| The Lord is slow to anger but great in power, and he will never allow the guilty to escape punishment. | The crowds that preceded him and those that followed kept shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” | Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!” |
| Only goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. | Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever. |
| When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes. | It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, so that you will do them and not follow your own heart and your own eyes, which led you to prostitute yourselves. |
| Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren. | From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. |
| Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. | But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. |
| However, the gift is not like the transgression. For if the transgression of one man led to the death of the many, how much greater was the overflowing effect of the grace of God and the gift of the one man Jesus Christ that has abounded for the many. | But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. |
| Jesus addressed them once again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life.” | Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” |
