- A person’s pride will bring him low,
But a humble spirit will obtain honor. - The Lord makes poor and rich;
He humbles, He also exalts. - Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
- Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.

In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the contrite.” - For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will glorify the lowly with salvation. - Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.
- Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. - Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is righteous and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.
- I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
- He was despised and abandoned by men,
A man of great pain and familiar with sickness;
And like one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, and we had no regard for Him. - So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
- When pride comes, then comes dishonor;
But with the humble there is wisdom. - God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
- If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
- But let justice roll out like waters,
And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
- And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
- The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
- That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
- For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. - Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.
- One who is on the path of life follows instruction,
But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray. - And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
- You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
- But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”
- But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
- Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord,
We have waited for You eagerly;
Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls. - He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who watches over you will not slumber. - And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you.
- Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father, who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.’ - And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
- That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
- The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in mercy. - And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. - Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life. - Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
- And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.
- If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
- Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting,
“Hosanna to the Son of David;
Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest!”
