Bible Verses about 'Low'
- One's pride will bring him low,
but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts. - Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.

a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
- When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with the humble is wisdom. - For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with salvation. - As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God. - God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
- And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
- Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
- The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
- The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever. - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
- Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
- And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
- Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.” - They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.
- And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
- If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
- For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
- For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
- Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
- Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’
- Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. - To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
