Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. He then fed you with manna, something with which your fathers were not familiar, so that you might come to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord. |
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. | You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand. |
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot. |
