For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18	The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. salvation strength crucifixion

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5	If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. wisdom receiving generosity
But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11	But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. faith love righteousness
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4	But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. salvation overcoming almighty
Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! Romans 11:33	Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! God wisdom understanding
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18	And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13	Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. protection evil devil
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9	God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. grace faith salvation
Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Romans 12:1	And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9-10	So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:26-27	For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. faith baptism children
For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:11	No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. John 3:36	And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment. eternal life faith obedience
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24	For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18	Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. joy gratitude prayer
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10	Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. obedience reward relationships
You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4	You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:19	And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. money food work
Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1	Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. trust Spirit prophecy
For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. Romans 1:16	For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. faith evangelism salvation
Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1	Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
